Verde make statement as best fashion SEO agency as they win 2024 UK Search Awards for use of search in fashion

Verde have been announced as the winner of the 2024 UK Search Awards for the “Best Use of Search in Fashion” award – given to the agency who have demonstrated an excellent SEO strategy for a fashion brand, whilst also delivering incredible results.

The SEO strategy delivered by Verde had been worked on for Lavish Alice, one of the UK’s leading womenswear brands, specialising in dresses and occasionwear.

The results driven by the campaign produced by Verde included:

  • A 47x (yes 47x, not 47%) YoY increase in non-branded organic clicks
  • A 24x YoY increase in top 10 non-branded ranked keywords
  • A 38% YoY increase in average organic monthly revenue
  • 499 1st ranked keywords in the UK, 3x more than the same time last year
  • 2023 SEO revenue had already been matched in 2024 by mid-September, before even hitting the Winter peak

The judges’ official notes from our award-winning entry were:

“Verde Digital showcased impressive results stemming from a straightforward yet effective implementation of content creation and tagging. The clear breakdown of costs and targets sets a strong foundation, demonstrating thoughtful planning and transparency. The “revenge dress” concept is particularly clever, highlighting innovative thinking behind strategic decisions.”

Our SEO strategy in winning this award was clear. Understand what people are searching for, how they search and create the content to capture that audience.

Verde created ~80 new pages expanding Lavish Alice’s Dresses section of the site. We looked at not only what products people search for, such as dresses by colour, or style, or length, but also for what occasions people shop for dresses for, whether it’s for wedding guests, cocktail parties, proms etc.

This strategy in particular led to increased performance and dominance around the “wedding guest dresses” and “races / ladies day dresses” categories, which saw huge spikes of subsequent traffic and conversions in the summer months.

The Search Awards’ judges referenced “Revenge Dresses” – in which Verde created a landing page for black dresses similar to Princess Diana’s infamous “revenge dress” to coincide with Netflix’s latest release of The Crown, where we expected increased search demand and interest around this dress, and similar dress styles.

We will be following up with a more in-depth case study and how we did it, but for now it is time to celebrate being acknowledged as one of the best SEO agencies for fashion brands with our (now) award-winning SEO strategies.
